The Solaranda™ product line was developed by EnergyPro, Inc in Gold Canyon, Arizona by Robert and Cynthia Edkins. Their custom home had various tile roof lines with shading issues on the southern face of their home which was directed towards the street and it was difficult to install a very aesthetically pleasing solar system.


Cynthia was determined to incorporate solar photovoltaic electricity into the green portfolio for their home. She had always wanted more shade out by her pool and proposed putting the panels on a lattice shade structure. Bob has a significant amount of experience in design and installation of aluminum shade structures. As a general contractor with over 35 years experience in the construction industry, Bob set forth to develop a ground-breaking new concept in solar design - and The Solaranda™ was invented.

The Solaranda™ incorporates a veranda (or open patio) with solar technology. The Aluminum and steel design allows for a maintenance-free structure that will last as long as your solar panels. (Wood can't do that!) Each Solaranda™ design has been engineered to handle 20 lb live loads and we have PE stamps for 45 states.

All of the aluminum components are manufactured in Mesa, Az and most of the lattice components are pre-assembled for each kit for easy installation on site. All electrical components and solar panels are also added to each kit out of our Mesa, Arizona location and shipped to our distributors, installers or homeowners.
